To save costs you could do that but use a polymer modified render or monocouche not a sand and cement based render as it won’t adhere to the Kingspan for very long.

May be a silly Question but we are looking to insulate the back wall of our single skin cricket changing room so i was wondering if we fixed the Kingspan K5 could we render straight onto it to save cost??????

Sorry for delay in replying but been on holiday. For timber frames you need Rockwool mineral wool or Diffutherm wooden boards to ensure breathability is hig enough.

Hi there,

I would like to know what type of board or material should be installed underneath K5 foam?
Can you pin it strait on to the timber frame?
And can you tell me what is the best thickness of K5 to use?
We are planing to build a house and want to avoid block work and
wonder if K5 can be applied on to the kit frame?
